Practice Statement
My practice examines how historical experiences continue to shape everyday life long after their visible structures have disappeared.
Through long-term field research and moving-image works, I focus on women’s experiences on the frontline islands of Matsu, the lives of mixed-race descendants of American soldiers in Asia, and migration histories connecting Kinmen and Southeast Asia.
Working with oral histories, multilingual narratives, and local memories, I explore how war, migration, and geopolitical conflict are carried through language, family histories, belief systems, and everyday social practices across generations.
